Very popular for their decorative quality, glass cutting boards come in a wide variety of colorful designs and sizes. Their beauty is not the only thing that they are prized for. Glass is impervious to food, making it an extremely sanitary material. Residue washes right off, making it easy to keep them germ and odor free. They are not, however, ideal for slicing meats and some people prefer the feel of a wooden cutting board when slicing or chopping. One of the most outstanding lines of glass cutting boards we've found feature scenes by renowned artist and conservationist, Guy Harvey. My particular favorite is the Tropical Medley Cutting Board, which depicts a variety of tropical fish. These cutting boards are so pretty and colorful, they are like a work of art for your kitchen counter. You can use them traditionally, or, for a cheese board or dish trivet. They are made from thick shatter and heat resistant tempered glass for your safety and years of enjoyment.
One of the most well designed and convenient cutting boards comes from Chef Buddy. Their Sink Cutting Board is so handy when preparing fruits and vegetables. This natural wood cutting board has an adjustable stainless steel stabilizer bar on each side for fitting right over your sink. It's simple to rinse and prepare foods and cast off stems, peels, etc. into the sink for disposal. The board also features a built-in basket that will catch your cut up food so that you can transport it to your bowl or cooking pot. The surface of the board measures 13" wide by 11.4" deep, with the stabilizers completely out, it will stretch up to 24.5" and fits most sinks.
An asset to any kitchen, but, very beneficial in a smaller kitchen, the Cutting Board Knife Set is a real space saver -- two kitchen needs in one handy package! It looks great on countertops and it even includes a well to catch juices when carving meats. The sturdy cutting board is great for a large variety of kitchen tasks and it has a pull-out drawer. Inside, you will find five nice sharp kitchen knives along with a pair of general purpose kitchen shears. The cutting board measures 15 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 2" high.
